There is an old spiritual tradition of pagan origin that celebrates the 12 nights from Christmas Even until the 6th of January. It is a 13 days long period characterized by daily themes to reflect, meditate and dream about. New years Eve there is a break to make a dreamboard for the next year, so the 13 days have 12 holy night and the night between 31st of December and 1st of January is a break to make the collage. There are a number of things that you can do to mark the passing of these 12 nights that reflect the 12 months of the year to come: - Meditate on the theme of the day, see video to find out the theme for each day; - Write down your dream(s). Don't be surprise if you are more prolific than normal in this period; - Choose a tarot card each day; I made a video last year whit the details of the themes of every night as they have been transmitted in the tradition, I add the video below for you to watch. As I do the 12 holy nights ritual since many years I am enthusiastic to share this practice. What you get out of the work in the first night will help you in January, from the second night will tell you somethings about your February and so on, every night will tell you something about a month in the new year. It is quite unique how spiritually you can connect with the year to come by focusing during this special time of the year.
